Midas

Midas (/ˈmaɪdəs/; Greek: Μίδας) was the name of a king in Phrygia with whom several myths became associated, as well as two later members of the Phrygian royal house.
 
The most famous King Midas is popularly remembered in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold. This came to be called the "golden touch", or the "Midas touch".
 
Reminiscent of the iconic “Patent Applied For (P.A.F.)” pickups, the vintage voiced Midas carries a rich heritage. Keeping true to the originals with vintage gauge plain enamel wire and two offerings of AlNiCo magnets, the Midas exhibits extraordinary responsiveness to the player's touch, allowing for expressive and nuanced playing.
 
Like its namesake, this pickup possesses the remarkable ability to transform your playing experience into pure gold.

Variant
Long AlNiCo IV - Inpsired by the PAF pickups from the late 50s. More offset winding with longer 62mm magnet for an incredibly balanced and sensitive playing experienced.
Short AlNiCo V - Inspired by the "Patent" pickups of the earlier 60's humbuckers. Shoter rough cast AlNiCo V magnets, and less of an offset in the winding adds more upper-midrange bite and tigher low end, whilst still retaining the top end clarity.  
 
Please note - the Midas is unpotted by design. Understandably, this can be inconvenient under certain use cases. The option for wax potting is available when ordering.
